Error 182279 blocks app creation across two profiles (incl. brand-new company-domain profile); resolve-form submissions unanswered — case C-0375952116 #254

Description

@donnyb999

Summary
App creation in the UPS Developer Portal fails with error 182279 ("There is a non-technical issue with your request…") for our business across two separate profiles, including a brand-new one created this week. The "complete and submit the requested information" flow has produced no acknowledgment or follow-up, and phone support was unable to identify any program to clear the flag.

Who we are
The Loud Factory — a Canadian professional audio equipment retailer (theloudfactory.ca), Winnipeg MB. UPS shipping account 22572K. We are integrating the Track API (OAuth client credentials) to surface delivery status for customer orders — read-only tracking, no shipping/label functionality.

Timeline

  • 2026-07-17 (×2) and 2026-07-20: App creation on profile loudfactorytlf fails with 182279 at the end of the Add App wizard. The app never appears in My Apps; no credentials issued. Inputs matched the account's registered address exactly, so it does not appear input-dependent.
  • Phone support opened case C-0375952116; the representative advised there is no approval/clearance program and could not resolve the error.
  • 2026-07-24: Created a new profile under our company-domain email (tlfadmin / admin@theloudfactory.ca) and re-ran the Add App wizard for the Track API. Same 182279 — so the flag appears to be at the account/business level, not the profile level.
  • Requested-information submissions from the error dialog have received no acknowledgment email or follow-up.

Ask

  1. What specifically is failing validation for account 22572K, and what documentation do you need from us to clear it?
  2. Is there a team we can reach directly (the resolve-form path appears to be a black hole — see also There is a non-technical issue with your request, in order to resolve it you will need to complete and submit the requested information. #170, which describes the same experience)?
  3. If a UPS engineer can check internally: please reference case C-0375952116.

We're happy to provide business documentation through any secure channel. Thanks!
