support for hd108?

hi, i use wled at the moment and thought i replace the old leds with something new like hd108. but wled seems to not support those so i found this. does this software support hd108 on an esp32?

Not sure, I dont use WLED. But HyperHDR on RPi supports HD108. awawa-dev/HyperHDR#527 nevertheless RGBW cold white sk6812 LEDs are recommended over HD108.

I assume it does not matter on what OS/Hardware HyperHDR runs, so it should also run on an ESP32, right?
Can you tell me why the sk6812 are recommended over HD108?

HD108 is supported only from RPi SPI interface so you should be also prepared to add a 3.3v to 5v level shifter

I understand that for white. But i guess 90% of the time i dont have white on the screen, so RGB would be more important. Wouldnt it make more sense to check the LM that are transmitted? IIRC the HD108 had more LM in RGB than SKxxxx
