I get an error while trying to update Python. What could be the issue?

Background

I'm trying to update python via the py install --update command. I'm currently using manager version 26.2, and my Python installation is 3.14.4 (to be updated to 3.14.6).

Details

When I try to update, the download doesn't finish, even when the manager itself can get updated automatically.

I enclose my log here. It seems there are errors with the connection on the host side.

Interesting - are you able to download https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.14.6/python-3.14.6-amd64.zip directly?

The only times I've seen this kind of issue before, where the index file can be downloaded from exactly the same server but the package can't, is because there was "security" software running that tried to scan the file contents and blocked it. Do you have any security software like that running?
