I run AS213579. my own autonomous system (my little private island on the interwebs), and a monthly bill that makes more sense if you don't think about it too hard.
I taught myself bgp. not because it's fun (it is), but because nobody was going to explain it to me. most of my skills come from RTFM and long nights debugging issues nobody else had.
most of my infrastructure runs on a heavily customized version of nixos. I declare what I want. it does what I say. we have an understanding. the rest runs proxmox and mostly debian.
