Changes

Skills is a standalone product (in-app at /skills, owned by team-self-driving, with scouts and review-hog built on it), but its docs lived under AI engineering as "Using the PostHog skills store". This PR gives skills their own docs section.

  • Move /docs/ai-engineering/skills-store/docs/skills (its own section, surfaced in the Docs menu under Tools > More tools)
  • Retitle the page "Skills" and reframe the intro around the product (centrally stored, versioned, usable from any MCP-connected agent; every scout is a skill). The store walkthrough remains the body of the page.
  • Nav: new top-level Skills section in src/navs/index.js; removed the old entry from AI engineering. It lands in "More tools" automatically as the overflow bucket for sections not explicitly grouped in DOCS_GROUPS.
  • Redirects: new redirect for the old URL, plus repointed the two older redirects (/docs/prompt-management/skills-store, /docs/llm-analytics/skills-store) directly at /docs/skills so nothing chains.
  • Cross-links: added a Skills row to the AI features table on /docs/ai-engineering, added Skills to the self-driving overview's concepts list, and updated links in the "everything is build mode" blog post and the "writing agent skills" newsletter.

The PostHog Desktop skills page (/docs/posthog-desktop/skills) is a separate, Desktop-specific concern and is untouched.

Checklist

  • Words are spelled using American English
  • Redirect added for the moved page (plus dechained the two older ones)
  • Internal links updated to the new path

Skills is a standalone product owned by team-self-driving (in-app at
/skills, with scouts and review-hog built on it), so its docs belong
in the self-driving section rather than under AI engineering.

- Move /docs/ai-engineering/skills-store to /docs/self-driving/skills
- Retitle the page "Skills" and reframe the intro around the product
- Add redirect for the old URL; repoint the two older skills-store
redirects directly at the new URL to avoid chains
- Move the nav entry into the self-driving section (Concepts, before
Scouts) and drop it from AI engineering
- Add Skills row to the AI features table on /docs/ai-engineering
- Add Skills to the self-driving overview concepts list
- Update internal links in the build-mode blog post and the
  writing-agent-skills newsletter

Skills don't fit under self-driving either — move them to their own
top-level docs section at /docs/skills, which surfaces in the Docs
taskbar menu under Tools > More tools (the overflow bucket for
sections not explicitly grouped in DOCS_GROUPS).

- Move /docs/self-driving/skills to /docs/skills (own section index)
- Add a top-level Skills section to the docs nav; drop the entry from
  the self-driving section
- Repoint all three redirects at /docs/skills
- Update internal links (AI features table, self-driving concepts
  list, blog post, newsletter)

@PostHog/editors howdy - this is kinda trying to clean up a bit - skills are not part of AIO anymore - they are kinda their own thing for now. my aim here is to just put them under "Tools" for now

i think they could be part of self driving tbh - skills are context that powers self driving - but didnt want to make too big of a change - thoughts?
