Duong Vu — hello, world. I study minds, human and artificial.

[website] [email] [linkedin] [scholar] [researchgate]

Abstract. We present Duong Vu, a master's student in Computer Science at VinUniversity and research scholar at the VinUni-Illinois Smart Health Center (VISHC). The subject investigates how machine learning systems can understand human cognition well enough to support mental health — responsibly, and on time. Preliminary findings indicate a persistent tendency to turn research problems into design problems. Code and coffee available upon request.

My research lives at the intersection of AI and computational cognitive science — building responsible AI systems and timely, technology-driven mental-health interventions. I'm interested in how machines can understand minds well enough to help them, without pretending to have one.

Previously: Sorbonne Université (LIP6 · Paris Brain Institute · ISIR) and VNU-UET. I play with UX/UI to deal with brain fog.
