I’m an open-source developer based in Düsseldorf, Germany. My roots are in
PHP and TYPO3—I’ve maintained
tt_news since 2004—and my current
work explores what becomes possible when AI is both part of the product and
part of the development process.
I build local-first AI tools, practical web and desktop applications, and the occasional browser game. Most of these projects are developed in close collaboration with coding agents: short feedback loops, real-world use, and continuous iteration.
| Project | What it does |
|---|---|
| open-recall | Privacy-focused, local-first personal knowledge management with Ollama, GraphRAG, hybrid vector and graph search, and chat over articles, notes, and PDFs. |
| rowing-tracker | Turns SmartRow workout exports into analytics, training plans, achievements, stroke-level insights, and an AI coaching conversation. |
| text-to-typo3 | A streaming AI chat interface for working with TYPO3 through MCP, using OpenAI or local LM Studio models. |
| ai-image-aura | A browser-based studio for AI image generation and editing, with references, cost tracking, and a local archive. |
| image-crawler | A cross-platform CLI and Electron toolkit for collecting, filtering, deduplicating, and downloading images. |
I also use small, complete products to explore different engineering problems:
habit-tracker,
dough-planner-plus,
cvesearch, and browser games such
as tower-defence and
scrapstorm-squadron.
tt_news is the classic TYPO3 news
extension I’ve maintained since 2004. Its recent v14 release brings the project
forward to TYPO3 v14 while preserving a migration path for long-lived sites.
