App Overview
A guided tour of the TankSync™ app — monitoring tanks, reading device health, and using the history.

After signing in you land on the home dashboard, showing every tank linked to your account. Each card gives you the current water level and a quick status read at a glance.

If you have several tanks, this is the screen you'll actually live in — it's designed so a glance tells you whether anything needs attention, without opening anything.
The first section of the tank detail view is current status:
- Water level percentage
- Estimated volume in litres — derived from the capacity you set in Tank Calibration
- Current sensor reading — the raw distance the ultrasonic sensor measured
- Last updated time
This refreshes every time the transmitter reports, so at the default 300-second interval it's never more than five minutes stale.
The raw sensor reading is the most useful diagnostic on this screen. If the percentage looks wrong, the raw distance tells you instantly whether the sensor is misreading or the calibration is off. A sensible distance with a nonsense percentage means calibration.
Scroll down for transmitter health:
- Battery level
- Solar charging status
- LoRa signal strength
- Last communication time
For most installations nothing here needs action unless the app is actively reporting a warning.
How the transmitter is performing across the day — when the battery is charging, when it's discharging, and how much energy each wake cycle costs.
This is where you see the real behaviour of your installation in your weather. A transmitter in good sun shows a clean daytime charge and a shallow overnight discharge. One in partial shade shows a charge curve that never quite catches up.
A longer-term view of charging performance. After roughly one week of operation, TankSync has enough data to start analysing charging patterns and shows you:
- Typical daily charging time
- Best charging performance recorded recently
This is the section that answers "is my panel actually getting enough sun, or did I mount it in a bad spot?" — and it answers it with a week of evidence rather than a guess.
Every reading received from the transmitter is recorded. The water level graph lets you see how the tank fills and empties over time.
What it's genuinely good for:
- Usage patterns — how much you actually consume in a day
- Spotting a leak — a tank that drains steadily overnight, when nobody's using water, is telling you something
- Pump behaviour — how long a fill takes, and whether it's getting slower over months
The same idea for battery performance. Most useful for understanding how weather affects charging — a week of monsoon shows up clearly, and so does the recovery afterwards.
If the baseline is trending down over months rather than tracking the weather, that's worth investigating: usually a dusty panel, sometimes creeping shade from something that's grown.
Tap Edit Tank to change name, capacity, calibration distances, sleep interval, alert thresholds and other settings.
Once saved, the receiver forwards the new configuration to the transmitter during its next communication cycle — up to five minutes at the default interval. You don't need to touch the transmitter.

The alerts section keeps a record of important events. Depending on your notification preferences you may get:
- Low water level
- Overflow
- Low battery
- Sensor communication issues
- Device status changes
All alerts are stored in the app, so you can review what happened while you were away rather than just catching the notification as it passes.

One account handles many tanks. As you add transmitters and receivers, each tank appears on the dashboard — monitoring a whole property, or several properties, from one place.
